Tri-State Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine is an independent, well-respected and busy orthopaedic group who has been providing the Pittsburgh region with the most advanced orthopaedic care for more than 45 years. We are actively recruiting for a full-time Clinical Triage/Prescription Assistant to join the Clinical Triage Department of our North Hills (McCandless) Office.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Determining the urgency of patient calls and handling/triaging to the appropriate level of Staff/Provider as necessary; scheduling testing for patients, managing medication refill requests, submitting medication prescriptions to pharmacies electronically and via phone, and obtaining medication insurance authorizations; accurate chart documentation with related tasks and/or clerical work.
Candidates must possess strong telephone and computer skills and demonstrate the ability to provide exceptional customer service with a positive and upbeat attitude in a fast-paced practice environment. Medical terminology required. Medication/pharmacy background a plus.
This position carries a schedule Monday through Friday with no evening or weekend hours.
