Tri-Township Jr-Sr High School is seeking a dynamic and passionate individual to join our team as a High School Engineering Teacher who will also teach PLTW (Project Lead the Way) Gateway programs at the middle school level. This position offers the unique opportunity to inspire and engage students in both middle and high school in STEM-focused education, with an emphasis on hands-on, project-based learning in engineering and technology. Key Responsibilities: Teach high school-level engineering courses, guiding students through hands-on projects that align with PLTW curriculum standards. Deliver PLTW Gateway courses to middle school students, fostering an early interest in engineering, design, and problem-solving. Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that encourage creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration. Collaborate with colleagues across grade levels to support the STEM curriculum and school-wide initiatives. Actively participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with PLTW programs and engineering education. Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with students, parents, and administration. Qualifications: Valid Indiana teaching license, or eligibility for licensure, in Engineering, Technology Education, or a related field. Experience teaching at the middle or high school level preferred, especially within a PLTW framework. Passion for STEM education and a commitment to fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment.
