Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Supply Chain analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play an integral role in enabling our organization pushing the boundaries of our reputation and methodologies. We are looking for individuals who can think outside the box to achieve company objectives regarding value and partnerships with our suppliers.
This position will execute procurement strategies for the electronics category, including raw materials and fabricated components. This position will develop and maintain a robust supplier base to ensure timely delivery of quality materials at competitive prices, while adhering to company purchasing policies and procedures.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive supplier analysis to formulate a strategic sourcing plan that identifies new/suitable suppliers, optimizes cost models and proactively ensures continuity of supply.
- Collaborate with design and manufacturing engineers to achieve desired cost objectives and provide cost alternatives.
- Actively seek new sources for existing direct materials, where doing so will improve overall service, and delivery, and improve the overall value proposition.
- Visit supplier facilities to evaluate operations and discuss business relationships, when necessary.
Required Qualifications
- B.S./B.A. in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- 1-3 years of experience procurement, or materials management, with specific experience in the electronics category.
- Strong communication, negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in procurement software and supply chain management tools. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Must have In-depth understanding of manufacturing processes and materials within the electronics category, including PCBA and electro-mechanical assemblies.
- Proven track record of cost reduction and supplier relationship management.
- Considerable attention to detail and sense of urgency to ensure value-added content in the purchasing process and confidence in the continuity of supply.
- Sourcing merchandise through new and existing vendors, trips and tradeshows.
- Must be proficient with computers and automated process and systems.
- Must be a self-starter, and results driven.
- C.P.M. or C.P.I.M. and/or PMP certification is a plus.
