Responsibilities
- Schedule Management: Maintain a building-use calendar, communicate scheduling information to building staff and the superintendent's office.
- Communication: Answer the telephone, direct calls based on the nature of the inquiry, take/deliver messages, and manage calls efficiently to keep telephone lines open.
- Record Keeping: Organize and maintain functional computer and hard copy filing systems that ensure the safe retention and efficient retrieval of office records.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, address customer service concerns using tact and problem-solving techniques, and refer inquiries requiring policy interpretation to administrative staff.
Requirements
- Education: High school diploma and a satisfactory pre-employment skill test score.
- Skills: Post-secondary secretarial or office management training is desirable, proficiency in office protocol, data entry, spelling, proofreading, grammar, and office technology systems.
- Physical Demands: Exposure to lifting, carrying, and moving work-related supplies/equipment, potential for interaction with aggressive, disruptive, and/or unruly individuals.
