Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role as an Assistant Branch Manager located in St. Louis, MO. The Assistant Branch Manager supports the day-to-day operations of the bank lobby, ensuring compliance with banking regulations, and adherence to operational standards. This role will support the Lobby Manager by helping to train personal bankers to ensure the branch meets their goals and delivers exceptional customer service.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field preferred.
• Three (3) of more years of related experience in banking with at least two (2) years of previous supervisory experience in a branch setting.
• Must possess excellent verbal, written, interpersonal communication, and customer service skills.
• Adhere to the current dress code and present a professional image.
• Ability to manage cash and process transactions, including knowledge of safe deposit admissions.
• Communicate and cooperate with others (internal and external) to produce needed outcomes and goals.
• Skillful at coaching and developing others while establishing priorities to channel efforts productively.
• Demonstrate flexibility, versatility, commitment, and good judgment.
• Ability to be analytical and well organized in an environment of diverse responsibilities.
• Operate a personal computer and appropriate software packages, including Microsoft Office products.
Primary Job Duties:
• Meet with customers in person and on the phone to advise on consumer and business products/services.
• Understand all bank deposit products and refer customers to business partners for extensive needs.
• Train and coach other personal bankers in customer conversations to enhance staff performance.
• Answer incoming phone calls and make outbound phone calls to new and existing customers.
• Assist in scheduling and managing staff to ensure adequate coverage during business hours.
• Participate in regular team meetings to communicate updates and address any challenges.
• Assist with daily cash handling, balancing, and audits.
• Open new personal and business deposit products/services.
• Assist officers with requests, including, but not limited to: Customer Service and New Accounts
• Fraud claims and prevention.
• Follow our policies and procedures with all customers and complete the operational tasks put in place by the Branch Manager to maintain operational soundness.
In addition, the Assistant Branch Manager will perform all the functions of a personal banker as needed.
Salary : $45,000 - $60,000
