Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Custodian to maintain cleanliness and order in our facilities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all areas are well-kept, safe, and welcoming for both staff and visitors. Duties
- Perform general cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming to maintain cleanliness in all areas.
- Conduct floor care activities such as buffing, stripping, and waxing to ensure floors are well-maintained.
- Carry out commercial cleaning duties in various settings, including offices, restrooms, and common areas.
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as needed to support the overall upkeep of the property.
- Handle industrial cleaning responsibilities in designated areas to meet health and safety standards.
- Support residential painting projects when required to enhance the aesthetic appeal of the facilities.
- Act as a porter by managing waste disposal and recycling efforts throughout the premises.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and report any needs for replenishment.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of custodial practices and procedures.
- Experience in facilities maintenance is preferred but not mandatory.
- Proficiency in floor care techniques including buffing and polishing.
- Familiarity with commercial cleaning standards and practices.
- Ability to perform industrial cleaning tasks safely and effectively.
- Basic skills in residential painting are a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.
- Ability to work independently while also being a team player.
