The successful candidate will play a crucial role in designing and developing cutting-edge radiation detection systems and solutions, focusing on hardware system designs by transitioning ideas from concepts to prototypes. The Systems Design Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to bring the concepts from initial design through to production, ensuring high performance and reliability. They will work closely with engineering teammates to ensure the designs are innovative and contribute to product enhancement strategies. The selected candidate will support development and testing while troubleshooting design issues, implementing improvements, and conducting analyses to validate design concepts and ensure compliance with safety and performance standards. Candidates should have experience with software and firmware, specifically microcontrollers and embedded software development. Linux programming experience is a plus.
