Responsibilities :
- Serve as the senior compliance advisor to the Mortgage Servicing team.
- Collaborate with other departments such as legal, risk management, and operations to ensure alignment of servicing compliance efforts with overall business objectives.
- Review and provide guidance to ensure Mortgage Servicing operations and policies and procedures are compliant with Federal and State regulations as well as industry regulations and guidelines (CFPB, RESPA, FCRA, SCRA, ECOA, FDCPA etc).
- Ensure first line of defense mortgage servicing reviews are conducted in accordance with requirements and meet regulatory standards.
- Coordinate second line of defense mortgage servicing quality control testing.
- Conduct regular compliance reviews, including customer facing documents and disclosures, to identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability.
- Analyze data to identify trends or areas for improvement in servicing compliance processes.
- Assist with the development and maintenance of key risk and compliance indicators (“KRIs”) for Mortgage Servicing.
- Engage with the line of business to ensure compliance protocols are being followed and plans for closing any gaps are in place.
- Coordinate training and guidance to staff on regulatory compliance matters.
- Monitor and report on servicing compliance performance to management.
- Perform root cause analysis and assist in the development and oversight of corrective action plans for resolution of systemic servicing compliance issues.
- Review state specific servicing licenses and requirements to ensure the Company maintains appropriate licensing and adheres to state requirements.
- Support the Compliance team in managing and responding to compliance inquiries.
- Collaborate with IT departments to ensure proper security measures are in place to protect sensitive data and ensure IT compliance with regards to PCI and Information Security.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Management.
