Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and responsible Bus Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting passengers to their designated locations while providing excellent customer service. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and the ability to communicate effectively with passengers of all ages, including children and seniors.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a school bus according to scheduled routes and timeframes.
- Ensure the safety and comfort of all passengers during transit.
- Assist passengers in boarding and alighting from the vehicle, particularly those with disabilities or special needs.
- Maintain a clean and well-functioning vehicle by performing routine inspections and basic mechanical checks.
- Communicate effectively with passengers, providing information regarding routes, schedules, and any delays.
- Document daily activities such as mileage, passenger counts, and any incidents that occur during transit.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies regarding safety and operational procedures.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing passenger inquiries and concerns in a friendly manner.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with P & S endorsement and with a clean driving record is required.
- Mechanical knowledge is preferred for basic vehicle maintenance tasks.
- Previous experience as a school bus driver or in commercial driving is highly desirable.
- Experience working with children or in senior care settings is a plus.
- Strong communication skills; multilingual abilities are an advantage.
- Ability to write clear reports regarding daily operations and incidents.
- Familiarity with paratransit services is beneficial but not mandatory.
- A commitment to providing excellent customer service in all interactions.

- Working hours will be around 6:30-8:30am and 3:00-5:00pm Monday through Friday, pending on the design of the routes.
