GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
The ideal candidate will act under the general direction of the deputy superintendent to provide leadership of curriculum, assessment, and accountability in the TMSA Public Charter Schools. This includes providing oversight for Edtech resources, student performance, and data-driven decision-making.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree with a major in education or related field
- A minimum of three (5) years of Educational Leadership experience
- A Master’s degree is highly recommended.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
CURRICULUM
- Oversee curriculum planning and development for all grades
- Supervise and work closely with Academic Deans
- Assist with TMSA Public Charter Schools’ accreditation process
- Provide leadership and modeling for academic staff in instructional practice, including intervention and differentiation; lesson planning processes, and data analysis cycles.
- Develop district-wide academic support programs as needed to meet students’ needs.
- Actively participate in the hiring of Academic Admin Staff in collaboration with the School Leadership
- Identify and utilize faculty strengths to ensure high-level, inquiry-based instruction and teaching
- Oversight of the development, articulation, evaluation, and alignment of TMSA’s vision in the curriculum at all program levels
- Facilitate a formal process for ongoing curricular review
- Establish key benchmark standards for the academic programs of the TMSA Charter School
- Collect, measure, and analyze relevant data regarding the effectiveness of the instructional materials, including Curriculum and EdTech Resources
- Remain current with industry trends as it relates to our accreditation and charter school philosophy
- Be familiar with national standards and state mandates regarding curriculum
- Support Deans & Principals with scheduling that impacts curriculum & instruction
ASSESSMENT AND ACCOUNTABILITY
- Supervise and work closely with Academic Deans.
- Manage and monitor, and evaluate TMSA Public Charter Schools’ academic performance at all levels
- Oversee the planning and implementation of the state-mandated and internal assessments
- Facilitate a formal process for ongoing performance review
- Establish key benchmark standards for the academic programs of the TMSA Charter School
- Provide professional development opportunities for administrators, and teachers on how to use the data for Academic Performance
- Remain current with industry trends as it relates to our accreditation and charter school philosophy
- Be familiar with national standards and state mandates regarding educational quality and student performance
- Design, develop, and modify the data infrastructure to accelerate the processes of data analysis and reporting
- Ensure accuracy and quality data presentation at all levels
- Perform other duties that may be assigned by the Deputy Superintendent
PROGRAM EVALUATION
Complete an evaluation to assess the needs of TMSA schools; review annual reports to evaluate the effectiveness of the academic programs; develop, analyze, and distribute the results of annual evaluations to the school’s leadership team and the Deputy Superintendent. Maintain excellent records of all curriculum and instruction resources, data, reports, and evaluations.
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Take part in professional learning opportunities at the local, regional, and/or state level with proper authorization; attend all local meetings and training related to Curriculum, Instruction, and assessment, and; share ideas and experiences with school or district staff, and the leadership team, and/or other Curriculum, Assessment, and Accountability Directors
