About the role

  • As a graphic designer, your primary role will be to visually articulate brand identity and messaging to engage the target audiences of our financial planning clients (Members). You will collaborate closely with colleagues in the brand, communications and digital realms to conceptualize and create compelling visual assets such as logos, identity kits, sales bundles and client onboarding documents, to name a few. You will regularly demonstrate a keen eye for detail by maintaining brand consistency across various Members and platforms while staying attuned to current design trends and consumer preferences.
  • At its core, a graphic designer bridges the gap between creative vision and consumer connection, contributing significantly to brand recognition and customer engagement.

What you'll do

  • Strategize, design and produce innovative and compelling visual assets (print and digital) for our Members that align with their brand guidelines / objectives to attract, engage and create loyal consumers.
  • Work alongside the brand specialists to serve as the primary point of contact to members, servicing their design needs, addressing concerns and identifying opportunities for brand development and enhancement.
  • Continually assess and audit Members’ brand identities to ensure consistency and cohesion across all mediums, maintaining brand standards and guidelines in all design projects.
  • Regularly conduct A / B testing and analyze design performance metrics to iterate and optimize assets for improved engagement and conversion rates.
  • Regularly use data and industry trends to guide design conversations and decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (using unique perspectives), including coaching, brand, communication and digital specialists as well as other stakeholders, to understand and deliver on project requirements.
  • Demonstrate ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously using quality control, high attention to detail and deadline accountability.
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills that lead to accurate understanding of project requirements and timelines; provide updates regularly.
  • Successfully create and regularly implement processes based on a foundation of transparency, collaboration and detail.
  • Initiate brainstorming sessions and contribute innovative ideas for design initiatives that can benefit our member base.
  • Demonstrate ability to navigate complex business concepts during Member interaction via excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Establish, reinforce, and enhance the design standards for all brand strategy tools developed for Members.
  • Iterate on designs based on feedback from Members, colleagues and leaders.
  • Regularly deploy decision-making tactics to ensure project efficiencies while simultaneously meeting member needs and intrateam professionalism.
  • Basic understanding of regulatory, legal and compliance requirements within the independent financial advisory space.
  • Confidently and effectively present / pitch new ideas to internal teams and members.
  • Support fellow designers in management of projects for members.
  • Qualifications

  • Proven experience (3 years) in compelling design creation and management of multiple brands with demonstrated success in client-facing environments.
  • BA in design or related field.
  • Mid-level design experience that demonstrates creativity, innovation and quality.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
  • Passionate and proficient in time management and quality control.
  • Passionate and proficient in layout and formatting designs.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop).
  • Familiarity with interactive design tools such as Sketch, Figma, or Adobe XD.
  • Knowledge of UX / UI design principles.
