Production Test Technician - RF ($23.00 – 25.50/hour depending on experience.)

We are looking for an experienced RF test technician to support our growth. This position will work with the production, engineering, and customer support teams to ensure that our products are tested in accordance with the guidelines of our quality management system.
Essential functions/Duties/Responsibilities:
- Full understanding of the production process at Triad and the critical role in the delivery of on-time, quality products to our customers.
- Familiarity with all of Triad’s basic test processes for the production test of RF power amplifiers.
- Completing Triad’s test procedure documentation.
- Process and fill out the computerized forms.
- Use Triad’s production management system and the individual operations required when processing units through the test lab.
- Test production RF amplifiers per the production / lab schedule quickly and efficiently.
- Perform basic troubleshooting on RF power amplifier products.
- Participate in production planning meetings where RF test tasks and priorities are assigned.
- Work with other test and assembly staff to address production or test issues, and ability to report any potential risks to on-time delivery to production management as soon as they appear.
Goals and Expectations:
Goals for the first 30 days of employment:
- Gain a full understanding of the production process at Triad and your critical role in the delivery of on-time, quality products to our customers.
- Familiarity with all of Triad’s basic test processes for the production test of RF power amplifiers.
- Understanding Triad’s test procedure documentation and how to process and fill out the computerized forms.
- Complete training on Triad’s production management system and learn the individual operations required when processing units through the test lab.
- Test production RF amplifiers per the production / lab schedule quickly and efficiently.
- Correctly process returns and perform basic troubleshooting on RF power amplifier products.
Goals for the first 90 days of employment:
- Independently work with production and assembly and participate in production planning meetings where RF test tasks and priorities are assigned.
- Gaining an expert-level understanding of amplifier architecture to support the test and troubleshooting of more complex amplifiers and sub-systems.
- Working with other test and assembly staff to address production or test issues, and being able to report any potential risks to on-time delivery to production management as soon as they appear.
Required Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
- Knowledge of how to properly operate RF test equipment including Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, Signal Generators, and RF Power Meters.
- Knowledge of basic DC and RF circuit concepts and how to troubleshoot basic circuit issues independently without extensive engineering support.
- Expert-level understanding of amplifier architecture to support the test and troubleshooting of more complex amplifiers and sub-systems.
- Strong decision-making skills to provide solutions to problems as they arise.

Education and Experience:
- 2-year degree or 3 – 5 years relevant work experience.
- Experience with automated test equipment.
- Familiarity working in a fast-paced production environment.
- Experience with Component-level troubleshooting.
- Experience working with Antennas, Amplifiers, Duplexers and Filters is a plus.
- Working in a similar or related field such as cellular communications (3G/4G/5G).
- Working with Modulation, such as but not limited to: 64QAM, QPSK, BPSK, LTE, WLAN.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving the entire body. This will include climbing, lifting up to 20 pounds, balancing, walking, carrying, and stooping.
- The vision abilities required to perform this job include close vision.
- Able to sit, working on a computer, stand and move around for long hours at a time.
