Mid-Level Image Scientist

Are you a skilled Image Scientist with a background in physics or mathematics? TRIAEM is looking for a motivated mid-level professional to join our highly respected team supporting product quality missions. As an Image Scientist at TRIAEM, you will be instrumental in evaluating product quality, conducting advanced algorithm assessments, and developing image quality equations to analyze system performance under various conditions. Your expertise will be applied across sensor modeling, atmospheric and material property analysis, and digital signal processing. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with imagery science, modeling & simulation, and algorithm development and is eager to contribute to mission-critical work in the GEOINT domain.
Key Responsibilities

Model sensor performance and quantify image formation elements to assess overall product quality.

Evaluate and refine algorithms to enhance system performance for mission applications.

Conduct baseline assessments and monitor system performance over time.

Investigate anomalies in imagery products and recommend corrective actions.

Develop and document engineering processes to support product evaluations and sensor initializations.
Required Qualifications

Active TS/SCI clearance or eligibility to obtain SCI with polygraph.

Degree in Physics, Mathematics, Image Science, or Electrical Engineering (BS 5 years, MS 3 years).

Experience with SAR imaging platforms and complex imagery products.

Proficiency in image processing, digital signal processing, and sensor modeling (detectors, calibration, noise analysis).

Strong programming skills in Python, MATLAB, IDL, or C for algorithm development.

Understanding of image quality standards (NIIRS, metrics, and image quality equations).

Applied knowledge of GEOINT systems, products, and exploitation software.

Experience with independent testing, data verification, and systems engineering lifecycles.

Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a history of delivering results.
