Grinding/Loader Operator

General Summary: Grinding/Loader Operator

Responsible for ensuring the grinding plants are fully operational/running based on OSHA and Triangle Brick Company regulations. Perform all duties to maintain operation of the grinding plants, including but not limited to, monitoring material flow, hourly screen checks, daily inspections of crushers, tracking conveyor belts, greasing throughout shift and general department clean-up/organization. Front loader operation is required. Work is primarily in a covered environment, with open, outdoor air flow.

Primary Responsibilities

· Operate the grinding plants and loaders daily

· Safe operation of all equipment in the grinding room and loader

· Participate actively and take pride in creating a high quality product

· Follow lock out-tag out procedures

· Perform daily pre-shift startup and shutdown checks and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs); report concerns as identified

· Ensure all work areas are organized and clean

· Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance related items to help increase uptime proactively

· All other duties as requested or assigned

Skills and Abilities

· Prioritize SAFETY first, then QUALITY and PRODUCTION

· Must be willing and able to work overtime, as required

· Must be able to stand, stoop, bend, climb and lift 50 lbs.

· This position is NIGHT SHIFT: hours are 4pm – 4am, Monday - Friday
