Hiring Experienced Full-Time Mechanical Project Manager
Founded in 1977, Triangle Contractors (www.triangle-contractors.com) is an independently owned, growing full-service mechanical contractor focused on delivering turnkey HVAC/mechanical, electrical, and plumbing solutions to a strong base of commercial and industrial customers. Triangle is centrally located in Morganton, North Carolina and services large healthcare, education, general industrial and light commercial customers primarily in Central and Western North Carolina.
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of projects, including project estimates, project financials, labor management, safety, scheduling, quality, and client relationship development and management. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience leading industrial and commercial projects of various sizes ($50K to $2M ) and complexity. We are looking for a team-oriented and customer-focused individual that has a demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple projects on time and under budget.
Job Responsibilities:
- Source, plan, schedule and manage contracting projects in all areas from start to finish
- Responsible for estimating, contract proposal, budgeting, change order management, suppliers and subcontractor negotiations, labor management, billing and collections, and overall project tracking and reporting
- Enforce job site and company safety protocols, and holding regular on-site safety meetings
- Communicate timely and professionally with all project stakeholders (project owner, general contractor, subcontractors, internal customers, etc.)
- Maintain accurate project documentation and internal reporting documents
- Ability to understand contract documents and potential implications
Preferred Qualifications:
- H-1, H-2, H-3 North Carolina heating and cooling licenses
- 5 years of commercial and industrial HVAC/mechanical contractor experience with at least 3 years of experience as a Project Manager responsible for managing project teams
- Experience and knowledge of Procore construction management software, Building Information Modeling (“BIM”), QuickPen (or comparable) estimating and QuickBooks jobs cost software
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Self-motivating with a proven ability of being an effective and collaborative team leader
- Detail-oriented and ability to successfully balance multiple projects of varying size and complexity under tight deadlines
