This is a fulltime position with Los Angeles Community College District. The BIM Virtual Design and Construction Engineer works closely with the BIM Manager and the Los
Angeles Community Colleges District to implement BIM on the BuildLACCD program.
Responsibilities
- Monitoring and reconciling the Design and Construction Teams submittal data related to BIM and asset tracking.
- Review VDC / BIM scope of work for contractual compliance for Bond affected facilities and infrastructure. This may include but is not limited to the following activities :
o Review and upload equipment data from completed As Built to CMMS.
o Review VDC / BIM scope of work for contractual compliance
o CAD / BIM AsBuilt drawings.
o Collaborate with LACCD District teams to ensure FM data needs are met for CMMs use
o Participate in the continuous implementation of the LACCD BIM standards.
o Work with PMO and CPT teams to guide and ensure that BIM requirements are meet scope of services based on the project needs
o Provide support to CPT / PMO to ensure BIM and non BIM projects meet LACCD standards
o Review CAD / BIM asbuilt drawings for compliance and completeness
o Review FM BIM data for Cobie and Omniclass standard compliance and completeness
o Research for drawings warranties specification operation manuals and survey data
o Review submittals to ensure compliance with BuildLACCD standards and BIM scope of services.
o BIM submittal coordination between college project teams and design / construction teams.
o BIM 360 Model reviews / work flowing / administration
o Attend virtual coordination meeting / kick off
o Direct communication via phone and emails with CPT Design and Construction teams
o Reporting and tracking to BIM manager weekly
Required Experience :
Required Education :
Bachelors degree in Construction Management Architecture Engineering or closely related degree.
