Triangle Grading and Paving, Inc. is seeking experienced Heavy Equipment Operators to join our Raleigh Division team. We are looking to hire immediately. Pay is based on experience.
The Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for safely operating various heavy equipment to move material/dirt, grade earth, erect structures, excavate, etc. Safely drives and maneuvers equipment into position for loading and dumping material/dirt. Inspects equipment's mechanisms and monitors and maintains fluid levels. Assists with the maintenance, repair and clean-up of all equipment.
General Responsibilities:
- Operate various types of heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, rollers, etc.
- Work with construction crews on manual labor activities to support overall project.
- Performs duties safely, responsibly, and proficiently observing all safety and health rules.
- Perform pre-shift and post-shift routine inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment.
- Report unsafe conditions to site foreman and supervisor.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of heavy equipment operating experience
- Minimum 2 years of construction experience
- Expected to operate equipment with a high degree of competency, skill, and proficiency.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Must be able to pass drug screen.
- Strong work ethic.
