Transportation Driver/Randolph

Position: Driver
Reports To: Site Manager
Hours: Part-Time/20 hrs. M-F 7:00am-9:00am and 2:30pm-4:30pm
Location: Randolph Day Services

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

1. Assist all individuals in entering and exiting the vehicle and assure all individuals have properly secured seatbelts.
2. Interact with patience and sensitivity in all contact with individuals, family members, staff, and others.
3. Be familiar with any conditions or behavioral issues that any individual may have and be able to assist them.
4. Always operate the vehicle within all federal, state, and local laws.
5. Have good knowledge of routes and locations of all houses, day facilities and emergency locations.
6. Maintain and carry emergency fact sheets, daily attendance, and trip route sheets.
7. Complete quick vehicle safety checklist prior to beginning your assigned route and report any issues to your supervisor immediately.
8. Immediately notify supervisor of any variance in route time exceeding 15 minutes.
9. Complete incident reports, as needed, in accordance with Triangle Inc. Incident Reporting Policy and Procedures.
10. Maintain all required certifications (i.e., First Aid, CPR, Safety Care, Driver's Safety, etc.).
11. Other duties as assigned.

Required Education/Experience: 

1. A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED required.

1. Must be 19 years of age or older, with at least 3 years of driving experience.
2. Must have a valid MA driver's license and a clear driving record history with no more than 2 moving violations in the last three years. A driving record history will be verified.

 
Required Skills/Knowledge: 

1. Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred.
2. Ability to interact with patience and sensitivity in all contact with individuals, residential staff, parents, and facility staff.
3. Must pass Driver Safety, CPR, First aid and Safety Care Certification.

 
Required Background Check: 

1. A CORI and background check will be conducted, and verbal offer of employment is contingent upon CORI and Background results.

5. Must have a normal range of hearing with or without corrective equipment.
6. Must be able to climb in and out of vehicles.
