Schedule and Compensation
The position operates on a standard schedule from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with a competitive hourly rate of $20.00.
Key Responsibilities
The Hand Finisher will be responsible for operating conventional machines to hand finish, grind, and tumble parts to meet customer requirements. Essential duties include:
- Scraping or rubbing parts with files, wire brushes, or buffing cloths.
- Holding parts against buffing or grinding wheels.
- Deburring or polishing parts.
- Mounting parts on revolving spindles or chucks and holding or moving tools against workpieces.
- Cleaning interior surfaces of holes.
- Changing tools on powered equipment.
- Completing required documentation and reporting labor accurately and on time.
Qualifications and Requirements
To succeed in this role, the individual must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and 3-5 years of related hand-finishing experience. They should also be able to work independently under general supervision.
