MECHANICAL ENGINEER I

Description

Under the guidance of more senior engineers and/or supervisors, this position provides independent design for electromechanical packaging equipment. This individual contributor will have a technical foundation in mechanical engineering or machine design. They will also possess basic multi-disciplined engineering skills, in-depth knowledge of mechanical design, critical thinking capability, and the ability to work and communicate with personnel from each discipline within the company.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Perform design level engineering assignments including 3D CAD modeling, detailed drawings development, and capturing of engineering documentation.  
• Support fulfillment of customer orders by designing or adapting existing designs to customer specifications.
• Complete and execute engineering changes and/or support the completion of engineering changes by reviewing technical aspects of change proposals including component drawings, tolerance analysis, and process adherence to engineering change procedure.
• Conduct independent failure analysis and root cause analysis, develop solutions, and execute product changes.

Qualifications

Knowledge and Experience:

• Four-year Mechanical Engineering degree.
• Working knowledge of 3D CAD systems and solid modeling (preferably Unigraphics NX series software).

Salary : $75,000 - $85,000
