What are the responsibilities and job description for the Choral Artistic Director position at Triangle Pride Band, Inc?
In 2024, TPB piloted its first-ever community choral ensemble based on membership feedback. The ensemble formed, rehearsed, and had their first successful concert. We are currently seeking interested applicants who have a passion for connecting with their community and sharing their craft of music-making with others.
The Triangle Pride Band (TPB), a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to creating an inclusive, affirming musical space for LGBTQ individuals and allies, is seeking a Choral Director for our SATB community Chorus ensemble. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with talented vocalists in a welcoming and supportive environment.
TPB and its members have an excellent sense of shared leadership, volunteerism, and contribution to the organization. As Choral Director, you will not be left alone to make all decisions and support all operations. After the first successful standalone season the Board of Directors has affirmed to onboard Chorus as a Core Ensemble part of TPB’s mission. The Board will support the director and ensemble leadership in its operational journey through registration, rehearsal, and concert cycles. Shared operational support comes in the forms of monthly board meetings, shared registration/donation/ticketing platform, and financial advisement.
Artistic Directors are seen as Executive Directors for their ensemble(s) however are not voting members of The Board. Artistic Directors are expected to work with their ensembles’ member at large.
