Triaplex, Inc. is looking for a Hardware Design Engineer with a background in FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Away) design, analysis, and development to join our team. This position will support a mission-focused customer during the full life-cycle development of a Radio Frequency processing system. Additional experience with digital processing algorithms and multiplexing experience is preferred, with the focus on development to meet mission needs and requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with designing new products and processes; improving/maintaining existing products.
- Apply ASIC or FPGA place and route (P&R) tools to create implementations based on requirements.
- Develop or implement algorithms on various platforms and SKUs, within the Xilinx VIRTEX UltraScale FPGA and SoC product families.
- Create solutions and implementations to meet timing constraints.
- Create and refine test bed for simulations, testing, and debugging.
- Debug existing solutions based on user feedback.
- Develop novel procedures for reverse engineering of algorithms and components.
- Provide technical leadership to less experienced engineers.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline from an accredited college or university
- Previous experience with microelectronic, integrated circuit, and FPGA design and engineering.
- Five years’ additional relevant experience as a Hardware Design Engineer may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree
- Experience programming in either VHDL or Verilog.
- Experience using Synplify or Vivado.
- Experience with ModelSim.
- Experience programming in a Linux environment.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python, PERL, or BASH.
- TS/SCI with polygraph
