We are currently looking for an experienced Operating Room Nurse whom can work in a multi-specialty surgical center. Experience working in OR/Pre-Op and PACU preferred.
This candidate must have the following to be considered for the role:
- Current Licensure with the California Board of Registered Nursing
- At least 2-3 years of OR circulating experience in an acute care setting or surgery center
You will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and coordinating patient care from admission to discharge at our multi-specialty surgery center.
Summary of Essential Job Functions of the Peri-Operative Nurse:
- Strong knowledge in Pain, ENT, Spine, Plastic, Podiatry and Ortho procedures
- Pre-Op and Pacu experience a plus, but not required
- Assesses plans, evaluates and ensures the implementation of the patient’s care to achieve identified outcomes and delivers safe patient care according to facility policy and procedure
- Assumes an active role in the provision of quality nursing care for patients receiving care
- Demonstrates continued competence in assessing, treating, and caring for individuals based upon age-specific needs utilizing a developmental perspective
- Stocking of supplies, environmental cleaning and crossover duties in the peri-operative area
Qualifications
Additional Requirements for the Operating Room RN opening:
- Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing
- Current BCLS, ACLS and PALS Certification
- Orthopedic surgery experience preferred
- Pre-Op and Post Op experience a plus, not required
