Job Overview : Performs skilled work in the maintenance and repair of SMSC-owned light, medium, and heavy vehicles, and equipment, including Emergency Services vehicles. Performs preventative maintenance to ensure that all vehicles are safe and mechanically sound.
Starting pay $27-34 an hour based on experience plus $3,000 sign- on bonus!
Required Experience :
- Technical school graduate with an automotive or truck degree, or 4 years of experience in an automotive or truck repair facility.
- High School graduate or GED.
- Specialized knowledge of various types of vehicle diagnostic testing and programming tools used in vehicle repair and maintenance.
- Class A Driver's License Required - training provided by SMSC within 1 year of hire.
- Industrial Truck Driving permit may be required (forklift) with training available.
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of small engine repair.
