Summary - Pine Ridge Primary Care-Outpatient
Provides direct patient care using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization.
Will perform primary functions of a Registered Nurse/LPN in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the care of all assigned patients in the Outpatient Department. Is responsible for meeting established Unit Standards of Nursing Practice; for managing supplies and equipment on the unit and promoting teamwork with primary care providers. Shall generate and maintain proper electronic health care information on beneficiaries to whom treatment is provided in accordance with IHS regulations. Shall prepare all electronic health care documentation to meet or exceed the established standards of the IBS facility, nursing practice acts, and The Joint Commission and CMS guidelines to include but not be limited to: timeliness, legibility, accuracy, content, and signature. All electronic health care information generated in the performance of this contract will remain the property and subject to the exclusive control of the Indian Health Service. Shall comply with all IHS facility infection control and safety procedures, practices, and standards.
