We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Clinician, who understands and respects the values of our tribal communities. Together, staff will provide care that meets the needs of the community and offers a meaningful and culturally responsive experience for both patients and their families.
Requirements:
Specialty: Operating Room RN (Perioperative)
Licensure: Current, unrestricted nursing license
Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, PALS, TNCC
Experience: 2 years in department, 3 years nursing experience
Schedule: 8 hr day shifts, M-F (Includes weekends & holidays, stand-by call rotation)

Key Responsibilities
Patient Care
Conduct thorough health assessments of elective and emergency surgery patients1
Provide total perioperative nursing care, addressing physical, emotional, and spiritual needs1
Initiate treatments, medications, and emergency measures based on physician orders and protocols1
Administer therapeutic measures as prescribed by anesthesiologists or surgeons1
Monitor patients under local anesthesia, assessing cardiopulmonary status and pain levels1
Technical Skills
Operate and monitor specialized equipment such as cardiac monitors, suction devices, and surgical tools1
Demonstrate proficiency with sterilization equipment and glucometers1
Function in PACU as needed for IV and respiratory assistance1
Documentation and Collaboration
Record observations, interventions, and relevant patient data in the operating room1
Collaborate with surgical team members and other multidisciplinary teams1
Serve as team leader for emergency surgeries during off-hours

General surgery
Orthopedics
Vascular surgery
OB/GYN
Urology
ENT (Ear, Nose, and Throat)
Oral Surgery
Dental procedures
Ophthalmology1
Additional Information
The facility performs over 2,400 cases annually
Trauma cases constitute a significant portion of emergent surgeries
The OR nurse is responsible for all emergencies, including trauma and fetal distress C-sections1
