Job Overview: Provides culturally responsive intake and assessment using DC: 0-5 and other early childhood screens and assessments, treatment planning, psychotherapy, and care coordination for early childhood population in Preschool Day Treatment program. Population served includes SMSC Community Member children, Scott County Native American children, and SMSC Tribal Operations/Gaming Enterprise employee children. Provides consultation and family therapy to parents/guardians of children served. Provides consultation and follow-up to parents, teachers, and supervisors regarding client progress, development of interventions and recommendations for other services. Document services provided in the electronic health care record system in accordance with the standard of the clinic.

- Provides culturally responsive intake and assessment using DC: 0-5 and other early childhood screens and assessments, treatment planning, psychotherapy, and care coordination for early childhood population in Preschool Day Treatment program. Population served includes SMSC Community Member children, Scott County Native American children, and SMSC Tribal Operations/Gaming Enterprise employee children. Provides consultation and family therapy
to parents/guardians of children served. - Provides consultation and follow-up to parents, teachers, and supervisors regarding client progress, development of interventions and recommendations for other services.
- Works collaboratively with other staff, responds to emergencies, and can fill in for other staff as needed. Maintains a flexible work schedule and can accommodate the schedules of the parents of the children served.
- Document services provided in the electronic health care record system in accordance with the standard of the clinic.
Job Requirements:
- Successful completion of a master’s degree in social work, Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related discipline from an accredited college or university.
- Full, unrestricted licensure as a Mental Health Professional (e.g., LMFT, LPCC, LICSW) in the state of Minnesota and in good standing with the respective state board.
- Two years of professional experience working in psychology, mental health counseling, psychotherapy, or related social services field.
- Good computer skills to include MS Word, Excel, and Outlook, as well as other health care or business-related software as needed.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Valid Class D driver’s license may be required with a good driving record.
- Experience working in early childhood mental health, children’s mental health or early childhood educational setting.
- Capacity to handle and lift up to 25 lbs. as needed.
