What are the responsibilities and job description for the Process Engineer position at Tribeca Oven LLC?
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop change over matrix’s, process controls, sign out controls and start up and shut down controls for each product line in the Company.
- Provide daily process engineering support to optimize plant operations using real-time process data, and plant process simulation information, while maintaining operating cost focus.
- Provide process engineering support to plant operations and maintenance teams to evaluate issues affecting daily plant performance.
- Use plant control systems and the integration of such systems to maintain optimal operating parameters.
- Provide process engineering support and expertise for studies and projects.
- Provide process engineering support in the development of large capital or expense projects. Assist in developing scope documents, P&ID’s and PFD’s, and process control narratives.
- Incorporate Process Safety and Risk Management principles into all work performed.
- Develop operating procedures and provide engineer and operator training.
- Maintain technical expertise in codes, procedures and selection and technology through individual effort and ongoing training.
- Company Packaging Engineer, working with multiple departments to solve packaging issues and realize savings opportunities.
- Develops standard communication/project management process to be used for significant capital projects, including communication tools and process, project planning tools and process, training and training documentation and ROI verification process.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Minimum Job Requirements:
Education/Certifications and Experience:
- Must have bachelor’s/master’s degree in Engineering.
- 1-2 years of experience in the Engineering field or a related area preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Should be proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
- Must have strong analytical abilities.
- Must have strong project management skills.
- Must have strong written and verbal communications skills.
- Must be able to multi-task with good organizational skills in order to meet deadlines.
- Must be able to work well in a team environment.
Working Conditions and Physical Effort:
- Work involves light exposure to unusual elements, such as dirt, dust, fumes, extreme temperatures, humidity, darkness, and/or noise.
- Work environment involves light exposure to physical risks, such as working around mechanical, chemical, and electrical hazards.
- Moderate physical effort required such as standing, sitting, and walking in and around the office; the ability to lift up to 50 pounds; reaching, climbing, and kneeling as needed; utilizing fine dexterity, the ability to see, hear, and communicate with associates as well as others by utilizing professional etiquette.
