What you will do:
- Uncover and report on stories relevant to Virginia Beach residents
- Develop creative approaches to explore diverse topics and communities
- Produce a variety of content, including breaking news, features, and explanatory stories
- Create diverse content including photos, videos, tweets, web updates, and in-depth print articles
- Collaborate effectively with reporters, photographers, and editors
What you will bring:
- Strong news judgment and a collaborative approach
- A passion for community-focused storytelling and reporting
- Proficiency in various content creation formats
- A college degree and at least two years of daily journalism experience (preferred)
- A strong understanding of digital media and its role in journalism
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
