Position : Clinical Medical Assistant
Location : Tow Harbors, MN 55616
Duration : 13 Weeks contract
Shift : Monday- Friday 8:30am -5pm. Will usually be a 40 hour work week. guaranteeing 32 hours a week.
Education and Experience Requirements
Training & Experience:
- Sufficient training and/or experience to meet and maintain the required licensure, certification, or registration.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a family practice setting – Required.
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
One of the following Medical Assistant certifications is required from a Medicare-recognized organization:
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) – American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
- Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) – American Medical Technologists (AMT)
- Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA) – National Association for Health Professionals
- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) – National HealthCareer Association
OR
Active licensure as one of the following:
- Paramedic
- Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- Registered Nurse (RN)
- Other licensure recognized under CMS Meaningful Use guidelines
BLS Certification:
- Must have a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from either:
- American Heart Association (BLS Provider)
