WORKING AT TRICITYFAMILY SERVICES : TriCity Family Services (TCFS) is a 501c3 non-profit community mental health center serving central and southern Kane County Illinois. TCFS has two offices (Geneva and St. Charles) and offers a hybrid work schedule. JOB OBJECTIVES : Working as a member of the agency's clinical staff team, the Mental Health Therapist : 1) provides a range of pre-treatment clinical services, including intakes, screening, triage, referral and linkage, as well as crisis intervention services and counseling services to agency clients; and 2) offers psychoeducational programs and services to targeted groups and the community at-large.
Requirements
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- Provides assessment, linkage, and referral services to both prospective and current agency clients, including Family-Based Treatment for Eating Disorders program clients as appropriate
- Conducts diagnostic assessments and prepares written summaries
- Provides counseling services to individuals, families and groups
- Provides crisis intervention, stabilization and case management services to at-risk youth and their families
- In consultation with the Director of Emotional Wellness Program, Development Team, Clinical Director and Manager of the Employee Assistance Program, participates in providing presentations to the community
- Participates in networking efforts with other area service providers
- At a minimum meets bi-weekly with the Clinical Director for supervision
- Attends weekly staff meetings
- Participates in training and staff development events and activities
- Provides clinical and statistical documentation as required
- Will meet expected direct service hours and maintain case record compliance
- Performs other duties as required.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS RELATED TO WORKING CONDITIONS :
The employee in this position must have his / her own transportation as a portion of the work may occur at other agencies and in clients' homes.
