Position Overview:
TrickleStar is seeking a dynamic and ambitious Business Development Executive to join our growing team in our Grand Rapids office. In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales growth by building and maintaining relationships with new and existing clients, promoting TrickleStar’s innovative energy-efficient products, and contributing to the overall success of the company’s sales strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Generation & Prospecting: Identify and engage new business opportunities, including potential clients in both the residential and commercial sectors.
- Sales Presentations & Consultations: Present TrickleStar products and solutions to prospective customers, demonstrating the value of energy efficiency and cost savings.
- Relationship Building: Develop strong, long-term relationships with clients, ensuring a high level of satisfaction and repeat business.
- Sales Strategy Execution: Collaborate with the sales team and management to implement effective sales strategies, meet targets, and grow TrickleStar’s presence in the market.
- Market Research & Analysis: Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify new business opportunities and improve product offerings.
- Reporting & Forecasting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities and customer interactions, providing regular updates and forecasts to the management team.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other Sales Team members and departments (marketing, customer service, product development, logistics) to ensure a seamless customer experience and the successful delivery of solutions.
Requirements:
- Proven Sales Experience: Minimum of 10 years in a sales or business development role, ideally within energy efficiency, sustainability, or a related industry.
- Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage with clients at all levels.
- Relationship Management: Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers.
- Goal-Oriented & Self-Motivated: A track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets with a focus on results, a self-starter and initiative taker.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to understand customer needs and offer tailored solutions to help them achieve their energy-saving goals.
- Technical Aptitude: Familiarity with energy-efficient products and solutions is a plus, though not required. A willingness to learn and adapt quickly is essential.
- Valid Driver's License: Willingness to travel locally and across North America, as needed for client meetings, events, and business development.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field.
- Knowledge of energy-efficiency and/or sustainability practices.
- Experience using CRM software to manage leads, sales activities, and customer relationships.
