Job Title: Software Intern (Compliance Engine Development)

Internship Overview:

We are seeking a motivated Software Intern to join our innovative team in Plano, TX. This internship will provide extensive learning opportunities, mentorship from experienced professionals, and practical hands-on experience in software development and compliance solutions.

The intern will collaborate closely with our development team to build and enhance our Compliance Engine, which assists businesses in staying up-to-date and compliant with various regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the design, development, and implementation of TrickyTax’s Compliance Engine.
• Participate actively in coding, testing, debugging, and documenting software solutions.
• Collaborate with senior developers and project leads to understand project requirements and deliverables.
• Conduct research on compliance requirements and integrate findings into technical solutions.
• Assist with quality assurance processes, including identifying and troubleshooting software issues.
• Contribute to team meetings, providing insights and suggestions for improvement.

Requirements:

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
• Basic proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, or C#.
• Understanding of web development concepts and frameworks.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Enthusiasm for learning and professional development.
• Availability to work onsite at our Plano, TX office for the duration of the internship.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with databases (SQL/NoSQL), REST APIs, and version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Exposure to compliance-related processes or financial technologies.
