Responsible for ensuring optimal data dictionary management, data policy development, data quality management, data handling, and privacy compliance. The Manager of Data Governance will promote a culture of data governance and data-driven decision-making within the organization, leading the Data Governance Council and collaborating with various stakeholders.

Responsible for ensuring optimal data dictionary management, data policy development, data quality management, data handling, and privacy compliance. The Manager of Data Governance will promote a culture of data governance and data-driven decision-making within the organization, leading the Data Governance Council and collaborating with various stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year college or university in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or other related fields.
- 7 years of direct work experience with at least 3 years of direct experience creating and executing formal data governance and/or data management programs including metadata management.
- Solid understanding of data governance principles, data quality management, and data protection regulations.
- Experience in metadata management including knowledge of data standards, data cataloging, tagging, lineage; and delivering operational data products in flexible data management frameworks.
- Proven track record of understanding business challenges and strategies, connecting them to data and capabilities, and recognizing and diagnosing data quality issues.
- Working knowledge of current and upcoming data governance, data management, data lifecycle management, and data product techniques and trends with a point of view on evolving concepts and best practices.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to engage effectively with stakeholders.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and competing priorities, following through on committed deliverables using team-based project management with both Agile and Waterfall approaches to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality work.
- Meticulous attention to detail to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Proactive mindset with the ability to identify potential data issues and take preventive measures.
- Demonstrated learning agility, and ability to make decisions quickly and with the highest level of integrity.
- Ability to adapt to changing business needs and evolving data governance requirements
- Experience with Stibo Systems (master data management) and data.world (data catalog).
- Relevant certifications in data governance or data management (e.g., DGSP, CDMP).
