What are the responsibilities and job description for the M365 SharePoint-Power Platform Architect/Admin position at TriCom Technical Services?
Responsibilities
- SharePoint Architecture & Administration:
- Design, implement, and manage M365 SharePoint environments;
- Develop and maintain SharePoint sites, libraries, lists, and workflows with Security and Data Loss Prevention techniques at the forefront of the design;
- Ensure the security and compliance of the Microsoft 365 platform including managing access controls, security policies, and compliance regulations;
- Ensure that the security, availability, and performance of SharePoint environments is always maintained;
- Evaluate existing file storage pattern usage and workflows to create an end-to-end solution plan for moving respective business units’ existing files from Nasuni Filers to SharePoint;
- Perform regular maintenance, updates, and back-ups on SharePoint systems;
- Troubleshoot and resolve SharePoint-related issues and provide user support;
- Monitor and analyze SharePoint usage, performance, and security;
- Stay current with new SharePoint features and capabilities and recommend enhancements to improve productivity and efficiency.
- Power Platform Duties:
- Develop and deploy solutions using Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI;
- Integrate Power Platform solutions with SharePoint and other Microsoft 365 services;
- Create custom applications, workflows, and dashboards to meet business needs;
- Provide training and support to end-users on Power Platform tools and solutions;
- Stay current with the latest Power Platform features and best practices.
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand the requirements and deliver solutions;
- Collaborate with IT teams including the Cloud Operations, IT Security Operations, and Infrastructure Networking teams to ensure the seamless integration and operation of SharePoint and Power Platform solutions;
- Follow the ITIL Framework and ensure projects are properly scoped, tested, and approved before implementation;
- Document processes, configurations, and solutions for future reference.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience managing and administering Microsoft SharePoint environments.
- In-depth technical knowledge of Microsoft 365 and SharePoint architecture and functionality.
- Proven technical proficiency and experience with Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 services and integrations.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with governance including access controls and policies.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Current relevant Microsoft certifications in SharePoint and Power Platform.
- Experience with SharePoint migration projects.
- Knowledge of Azure services and integrations.
- Familiarity with other collaboration tools including Teams, OneDrive, and Exchange Online.
- Experience with Microsoft Purview as it pertains to SharePoint and Power Apps.
