Responsibilities
- Responsible for the administration and maintenance of applications related to the NetDocuments system.
- Responsible for enterprise and other practice-facing applications.
- Perform systems operations, upgrades, maintenance, and modifications.
- Serve as Technical Lead for troubleshooting related to document management and integrated applications.
- Responsible for capacity planning, quality control, testing, and documentation for the firm's Document Management System and other practice-facing applications.
- Work with vendors to ensure that document management and integrated applications (Nuance PDF, MS Office, Metadata, Workshare, DocXtools, etc.) are current.
- Maintain documentation on enterprise configurations.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure they are up-to-date with documentation and knowledge to support the firm’s enterprise software.
- Define, analyze, and evaluate business systems and user, department, and practice group needs related to technology solutions.
- Make recommendations to the Enterprise Application Manager, Director of Project Management, and other Firm personnel on modifications, enhancements, replacements, and other improvements to the Firm's Document Management System and practice-facing applications.
- Provide basic project management functions for projects and activities including, but not limited to, project scoping, budgeting, task scheduling, resource recommendations, and skill alignment.
- Coordinate with other Information Technology personnel on issues related to the deployment of the Firm's Document Management System and practice-facing applications.
- Respond to user issues routed by the Help Desk analysts that are related to the Document Management System and other practice-facing applications.
- Provides feedback to Help Desk analysts regarding solutions to identified issues.
- 5 years of experience in administering and supporting NetDocuments.
- In-depth knowledge of Windows Server Administration (IIS preferred).
- Experience with vendor management/collaboration.
- RDBMS experience in SQL Server; skill in creating MS SQL scripts associated with form updates and database changes including inserting data into existing tables.
- Proficiency in developing applications and reports that leverage Microsoft Excel, Access and SQL Server databases, and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
- Ability to handle user administration tasks for NetDocuments users.
- Ability to work independently on the technical analysis, evaluation, and resolution of large enterprise application production issues or problems, with little or no assistance, and to make decisions and recommendations to remediate those issues or problems.
- Proficiency with conceptual, logical, and physical database design; stored procedures; views; and SSIS packages.
- Proficiency with standard project management methodologies.
- NetDocuments certification.
- Experience with VB.NET, ASP.NET, and C# programming languages.
