Job Description
The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for the day-to-day accounts payable transactions including processing invoices, validating invoice coding and approvals, and matching to purchase orders.
- Main responsibilities include processing invoices (200 a day) validating invoice coding and approvals, and matching to purchase orders
- Process invoices for utilities, property tax, HOA, insurance and normal operating activity
- Knowledge of capitalization policy for proper coding
- Obtain W-9s from vendors prior to payment; assist with distribution of 1099s
- Assist with vendor account reconciling as requested
- Assist with month end closing ensuring work orders / invoices are closed or matched to a purchase order
- Reconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances
- Provide supporting documentation for audits.
- Maintain vendor files.
- Identify and research outstanding invoices
