The Material Handling Laborer will perform tasks that require physical abilities.
DUTIES:
- Understanding inventory/warehouse logistics
- Performs physical tasks to transport or store materials or merchandise
- Checks out, transports, and unloads material
- Manually loading or unloading as needed per request
- Unpacking, shelving, or placing items in proper storage locations; or transporting goods by hand truck, cart, or wheelbarrow.
- Enter inventory/warehouse data into the computer system (SIMS)
- Work is performed in accordance with Work Orders.
- Solid verbal and written communication is necessary.

Contact the DLA Disposition Services to schedule a time for drop-off
- may be required to transport property designated for DLA Disposition Services
- Document & Form Management (which includes but is not limited to completing command forms and other Government required forms such as the DD form 1348, DD 2500, NAWCWD 7320/10, etc.)
- Package Classified Documents/Equipment in accordance with regulations
- Remove hard drives and transport them to Shred Facility
- Assist with the shredding of bins of FOUO, CUI and PII picked up from customers at China Lake and Point Mugu
- Assist with the transport of items being used either for display at command-sponsored events or for Artifacts display

Assist with pickup and transportation of Navy property located on-center and off-center that has been identified by the Government as being of historical value
- Items of historical value to the Command are sometimes located off the Center and at private residences.
- Perform pickup and transport of items from these locations within a 400-mile radius of either China Lake or Point Mugu
- Other duties/tasks as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
- MUST HAVE SECRET CLEARANCE
- Experience in inventory/warehouse logistics (1-5 years)
- High School/GED; any trade school related to maintenance is a plus.
- General knowledge of inventory and warehouse logistics
- General data entry experience
- Experience using lifting machinery (forklift, etc.)
- Must be computer literate with inventory management database systems experience
- Detail and safety oriented
- Must be able to work independently and in a team setting
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must be willing and able to work in all weather conditions and locations (i.e. Working indoors, outdoors, in rain, cold, heat, etc.).
- Solid understanding of OSHA and safety procedures is required.
- Must be able to obtain certifications required for this role
- Must be willing to travel to other work locations

- Flex Friday (every other Friday)- OFF

- $17.93 ( ) USD hourly, DOE
