JOB DESCRIPTION
The Clinical Manager MED / SURG Nurse is responsible for supervising the day-to-day shift operations in the Ortho Spine Department. They manage human resources at the unit level in a hospital or clinical setting. They promptly investigate and resolve complaints from patients, visitors, staff, and physicians, advising management / administration appropriately. Clinical managers oversee patient care, make management and budgetary decisions, set work schedules, coordinate meetings, and make personnel decisions. They also recruit and train nurses and other health care professionals and maintain a facility's records, and patient health information for treatment purposes only.
New hires may be eligible for a hiring bonus of up to $12,000
DUTIES
- Provides leadership of the staff related to the care of the Medical-Surgical patient and associated orthopedic surgery protocols and medication.
- Obtain information and interpret information in terms of the patient's needs.
- Demonstrates knowledge of growth development.
- Understands the range of treatment needed as appropriate to the ages of the patients served.
- Participates in the management of human resources through assisting, evaluation, counseling, and hiring of staff.
- Assists and edits payroll reports.
- Create goals and objectives of the Orthopedic surgery department or facility and make sure they are met by the staff.
- Communicate with staff and department heads.
- Keep and organize records of the facility.
- Recruit and train nurses and other health professionals.
- Create work schedules for nurses.
- Ensure the facility they work in is compliant with current laws.
- Improve the quality and efficiency of the level of care delivered to patients.
- Solve any problems patients might have at the facility.
- And other duties as required.

Salary : $95,000 - $195,000
