SUMMARY

This individual is responsible for the execution of work for assigned construction projects and onsite construction teams. This includes providing overall technical direction on projects, enforcing company and project policies, maintaining customer interface, and ensuring the project is constructed in accordance with contract documents, budget, and schedule.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

Lead the project team that is responsible for all trades on the jobsite and direct all activities onsite while empowering other team members to take ownership of their aspects of the project.

Be the main onsite point of contact for Trident that is responsible for planning and managing all onsite activities.

Participate in preconstruction activities to accurately plan the assigned project.

Plan, develop, and oversee, with the project team, the overall project schedule including initial schedule development, updates, progress reporting, and problem analysis to ensure compliance with company and client requirements.

Ensure the project team is scheduling the work, in accordance with the project schedule, to manage the overall progress of the project. Carry the responsibility for completion of the project on schedule and within budget.

Review and be familiar with contractual requirements such as change management, notice provisions, reporting requirements, billing requirements, etc.

Coordinate with Project Manager and Project Administrator to facilitate correct monthly billings to appropriate owner/architect and review overall budget & financial status on the project.

Ensure that all quality control activities are coordinated with the project team and all subcontractors to ensure compliance with applicable company, owner, and regulatory requirements.

Establish, with the help of the Trident Safety Director, the site safety plan and ensure implementation of the site safety plan for the duration of the project. Ensure the project abides by Tridents Corporate Safety Plan and all OSHA regulations.

Uphold Tridents commitment to a safe work environment and a continued growth of the safety culture across all projects.

Provide technical assistance and oversight of subcontracted and self-perform work.

Review, analyze, and resolve constructability issues and discrepancies. Interface with Project Manager, Superintendents, A/E, owner, and subcontractors for solution to keep the project moving forward.

Assist in the interpretation of plans, details, and specifications for subcontractors.

Establish initial benchmarks and layout needed to ensure adherence to project documents. Provide review of layout completed by subcontractors.

Review all construction documents to include drawings and submittals as it applies to the work. Keep an up to date as built set of documents onsite.

Act as liaison with clients and A/E teams to facilitate construction activities.

Conduct regular project meetings and work with the Trident project team to ensure accurate agendas and meeting minutes are distributed to all parties.

Ensure weekly time is entered and review and approve onsite teams daily time entries.

Ensure daily project reports are being completed to track workforce staffing, work activities, issues, schedule, communications, safety items, etc.

Effectively use all current Trident technology to streamline the onsite management and recordkeeping process.

Uphold, support, and promote all company policies and procedures and have a working knowledge of Company HR policies.

Review and approve PTO for field employees assigned to the project.

Mentor and train other Trident employees, specifically Project Engineers and Superintendents assigned to the project.

Ability to workdays, nights, and weekends as required by project schedule.

Other duties and tasks as assigned by General Superintendent, Senior Project Manager, or Executive Management

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, the individual in this position must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the minimum knowledge, skills and ability required.

EDUCATIONAL/TECHNICAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or other similar field and minimum ten (10) years construction experience required, with a minimum of five (5) of those years leading project teams, or equivalent number of years in the industry, with minimum of five (5) of those years leading project teams

OSHA 30 certification and First Aid certification required.

Extensive knowledge of construction methods, means, and techniques and experience in construction and contracting procedures.

Working knowledge of construction drawings, costs, and principles.

Proficiency in scheduling, managing and updating the project schedule, and distributing the schedule to project team members on a weekly and monthly basis.

Proficiency in email communication when appropriate.

Ability to interpret documents such as safety rules, operating, and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Demonstrate strong communication skills to effectively manage the goals of the project and personal goals of the onsite project team.

Exhibit effective leadership skills to define the success of the project and lead the onsite project team to create success.

Exude motivation and a passion for your role on the project to set the example for aspiring team members.

Inspire and challenge other Trident team members to achieve their highest potential.

Show the ability to adapt and overcome challenging situations as you drive towards a solution that best fits the needs of the project, goals of the client, and expectations of the company.

Successfully train and mentor rising project team members to include Project Engineers and Superintendents.

Demonstrate the desire to continuously seek opportunities for added responsibility and growth in all functions of the company.

Lead with enthusiasm to leave a lasting mark on your projects and create Ravings Fans of all parties involved in the project.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must have the ability to traverse rough terrain, climb ladders and scaffolding up to 50, and lift up-to 50 lbs.

Must be able to walk jobsites extensively (6-8 hours per day) and navigate through construction area(s).
