Job Description
Trident Manufacturing, Inc. is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the team responsible for engineering and project management. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, and manufacturing of medical devices from initial quoting and design for manufacturing through production launch.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor engineering staff, fostering professional growth and holding a high standard of performance.
- Work with the existing Project Management team members to improve and monitor launch processes that consistently deliver projects on predictable timelines.
- Oversee the design and development of medical devices, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with the sales team to quote the cost to manufacture new devices as part of business development efforts.
- Ensure effective management of sub-tier suppliers from the initial quotation phase through PPAP approval and start of production.
- Champion quality improvement and cost-saving initiatives post-launch.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- 8 years of experience in design, development, or manufacturing of mechanical products or equipment, preferably medical devices.
- 2 years of experience in a leadership role, managing technical teams.
- Proven ability to manage a team to meet project deadlines.
- Strong project management skills with a detail-oriented mindset.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting complex technical content to our customers clearly.
