Summary
The Level 2 Maintenance Technician is an intermediate-level position responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks under moderate supervision. The employee works independently demonstrating proficiency in basic maintenance activities and handle more complex tasks with some assistance.
Responsibilities
- General maintenance and mechanical repair tasks on vehicles and equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with PLCs, hydraulics, electrical systems, controls, pneumatics, and CNC / manual equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance to ensure machinery operates optimally.
- Fabricate and weld components as necessary.
- Troubleshoot and understand specialized equipment such as ovens.
- Interpret repair manuals for effective execution of repairs.
- Adhere to company safety regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
- Collaborate with other departments to complete work orders and projects.
- Prepare maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data.
- Document actions and communicate irregularities to maintain workflow continuity.
- Train and support junior mechanics in maintenance techniques.
- Demonstrate initiative, independence, and attention to detail in all tasks.
- Communicate issues and concerns clearly and respectfully through appropriate channels.
