Job Title : Simulation Engineer - Forging
Department : 6100 - Engineering
Location : High Bridge, NJ
Summary
The Simulation Engineer will work in our Engineering department, use computer simulation software to design / test / improve our manufacture processes of custom forgings, pipes, fittings & heat treatment processes.
Responsibilities
- Works with a design team to design tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures as required by the production process.
- Uses computer-assisted design (CAD) software to create preliminary and detailed drawings of the fixtures, dies, and products.
- Use the advanced simulation software (DEFORM 3D) to predict and visualize the manufacture design.
- Builds process routers and prototypes of the product to tests the design.
- Studies the test data, makes comparisons with the computer simulation and modifies the computer simulation.
- Help other engineers as needed to develop manufacture routers for the production process.
- Develops control systems and monitors production.
- Assist sales and marketing in preparing documentations for projects biding and quoting.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
