Job Summary And Qualifications
Under the direction of the Nursing Director, the Nurse Manager Telemetry has the direct-line responsibility for day-to-day operations and overall responsibility for the nursing department, insuring that employees have effective management, good communication and appropriate discipline. The Nurse Manager insures that the charge nurse fulfills their responsibilities as front-line supervisors. The Nurse Manager is responsible on a 24 hour basis for the coordination of patient care, administrative and nursing activities. The Nurse Manager is responsible on a 24 hour basis for the quality of nursing care provided to our patients’. The Nurse Manager is responsible for the implementation and evaluation of all nursing care and related activities. This includes, but is not limited to, the management of: clinical nursing practice, staff recruitment, retention, labor relations, supply chain and budget, staffing, employee performance evaluation, quality improvement, staff education, medical records, internal and external regulatory and survey requirements.

What qualifications you will need:
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
- Current license as a registered Nurse to practice in the State of South Carolina.
- BLS – Healthcare provider
- ACLS* Transfers/New Hires have six (6) months from employment to obtain ACLS certification
- NIH Stroke Scale Certification must be complete within 90 days of hire.
- Bachelors degree in Nursing required, Masters degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration or Business is preferred.
- 3 years of acute care experience, with 1 years of leadership experience in healthcare within specialty. Preferred degree can substitute for one (1) years of the required experience.
- National certification in specialty. Must be achieved within 12 months of appointment if not current.
