What are the responsibilities and job description for the F-16 MTT COMS TECHNICIAN / ISSO position at Trident Military Systems, LLC?
Trident Military Systems is seeking a Contractor Operations and Maintenance Support (COMS) Technician / Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to support Air National Guard (ANG) F-16 Mission Tactics Trainer (MTT) simulators at multiple locations. The individual's primary responsibility will center on operating and maintaining training devices that simulate F-16 flight operations, communications systems, subsystems, electronic signals for communication networks, data links, digital radio, battle management, and command and control systems. The individual must have a working knowledge of the Risk Management Framework (RMF), documentation, roles and responsibilities, and how to work collectively on a team pursuing cybersecurity practices compliant with policy, regulation, and best practices. Works in conjunction with the Training System Support Center (TSSC) ISSO/Information System Security Manager (ISSM) to ensure site and system compliance in scope of current accreditation.

What you will do:
- Prepare the system for operation in accordance with onsite operational and technical manuals and execute other functions as required by the training system instructor/student
- Assist in the operation of the training devices to include Distributed Mission Operations (DMO) activities (e.g., set up, poweron/off, daily operational readiness testing, initialization, and other assistance as required)
- Diagnose & resolve problems associated with the initialization or operation during training events
- Interprets and works with computer systems utilizing various and multiple operating systems
- Interprets mechanical, electrical, and electronic schematics and drawings
- Conducts voice communications on phone, interphone, and radio circuits
- Perform the duties and responsibilities of a sitebased ISSO for F16 MTT simulators to include:
- Implement risk management strategy, policies, assessments, continuous monitoring, auditing, authorizations, and remediation
- Ensure compliance of internal cybersecurity policies and procedures
- Perform continuous monitoring against unauthorized changes from approved system baseline
- Provide SCAP Compliance Checker (SCC) and Assured Compliance Assurance Solution (ACAS) reports to TSSC ISSO/ISSM via secure channels
- Verify backups occur according to the Continuous Monitoring Plan
- Review security audit logs to detect anomalous activity as defined by the customer
- Author and edit sitebased Cybersecurity related documents (e.g., SSP, SCTM, RAR, etc.)
- Ensures strict compliance with health, safety, security, and local base procedures, demonstrating our commitment to your wellbeing and security

What you must have
- 2 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 0 years experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 years relevant experience
- Experience in electronics, engineering, flight simulation, or related technical and/or military field(s)
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as schematics, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Must have excellent technical writing skills and command of the English language
- Operating knowledge of Windows/Linux operating systems
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and/or Adobe products
- Able to successfully manage competing tasks and priorities
- Strong oral and written communication and organizational skills
- Must obtain DoD 8570 baseline certification for IAT Level II within 6 months of hire
- Ability to work in a team environment and independently
- Must have an active or current DoD Secret security clearance
- Must be a US citizen
Preferred Requirements
- Current CompTIA Security certification or related
- Technical school graduate or military service school in Avionics Systems or related
- Prior experience on the F16 Aircrew or Maintenance Training System
- Experience supporting Special Access Program (SAP) efforts
