Overview
We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Retail Sales Associate to join our dynamic team at Buddy's Pool Service. In this role, you will be the face of our store, providing exceptional service to customers while assisting them with their shopping needs. You will play a key role in maintaining store standards and ensuring a positive shopping experience for all our customers.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products within the store.
- Operate the cash register and handle cash transactions accurately, ensuring all cash handling procedures are followed.
- Maintain knowledge of current promotions and product offerings to effectively sell and promote items to customers.
- Conduct water tests for our customers and make recommendations on products based on results.
- Stock shelves and ensure that merchandise is displayed attractively and organized according to store standards.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting any discrepancies or needs for replenishment.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and maintain a positive work environment.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly, ensuring customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a grocery store or retail environment is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash register operations is advantageous.
- Basic understanding of retail math concepts to assist with inventory management and sales tracking.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including Saturdays as needed.
- A proactive attitude towards sales with a willingness to learn about products and promotions.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift merchandise, and perform stock duties as required.
