Normal Work Schedule (Other) : : This is an on-premise position at Trident Technical College's Thornley Campus, North Charleston, SC with a compressed 40-hour work week with 1 / 2 days on Fridays.

Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities include teaching courses, developing curriculum, advising, and registering students; also, course scheduling, and program marketing. Candidate must be able to function in an environment characterized by continual changes in information technology.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
This position requires an associate degree in aircraft maintenance or a closely related area. FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificates are also required or within two (2) years of completing. Must be able to complete A&P as a condition of employment.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred applicants will have two (2) years of teaching experience in post-secondary education. The ideal candidate will have comprehensive knowledge and experience in all aircraft maintenance subjects in a Part 147 college curriculum. Including powerplants, propellers, reciprocating and turbine engine overhaul, supercharger and induction systems, electrical and hydraulic systems, reciprocating and turbine ignition systems, structural assembly, rigging, fuel systems, record management and reporting, interpretation of and compliance with Part 147, instruction and testing students is essential. Candidate must be able to function in an environment characterized by continual changes in information technology.
