What are the responsibilities and job description for the Regional Phlebotomy Specialist position at TridentCare2019?
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Properly identifies patients and correct use of phlebotomy methods (venipuncture, skin puncture)
- Drives personal vehicle to client facilities, typically nursing homes or government sponsored or sanctioned as directed by company dispatcher.
- Accurately collects, labels, processes, and delivers specimens obtained from patients.
- Reloads equipment and all necessary specimens to vehicle for prompt delivery.
- Regularly communicates with dispatcher to report status and location.
- Strict adherence to Universal Precautions in controlling blood-borne pathogens and infectious disease exposures.
- Maintain required certifications, health requirements, and operational requirements.
- Support regional leadership to conduct interview for hiring additional teammembers
- Assist with training newly hired phlebotomists and asses skill level
- Assist regional leadership with any administrative duties needed
