Position Summary
The National Simulation Centers Global Simulation Capability serves as the US Armys Constructive Simulation Provider for Army Corps and Division Headquarters home station training events in the Continental United States. This is a Constructive Simulation Specialist (Systems Engineer) position at the Global Simulation Capability, National Simulation Center, Fort Leavenworth, KS in support of the National Simulation Center (NSC) Support Operations (SO) task order under MTCCS II IDIQ.
What Youll Do
- Conducts overall management coordination for all technical, networking, simulation, exercise design, and administrative support
- Assists the Government in the design, development, delivery, and maintenance of simulation systems and tools, and exercises and training events
- Provides strategic solutions for standardizing technology, technical documentation, and technical support models across the site(s)
- Attends training, seminars, conferences, exercise/experiment planning events, site surveys, and training events.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (CS, Engineering, IT, or associated discipline)
- 3 yrs. experience supporting like-sized teams and projects
- Experience in systems integration, including integrating HW/SW components to create cohesive systems
- Knowledge of DoD simulation technologies, particularly those relevant to Army military training and operations
- Knowledge of programming languages and scripting, including languages like C , Java, or Python
- Familiarity with network architecture and protocols, particularly those used in military or simulation environments.
- Hands-on experience with military simulation systems, such as constructive or virtual simulation platforms
- Understanding of the specific requirements and constraints of military training simulations DoD IAT II Certification
- United States citizen
- Active SECRET Security Clearance
