Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled individual to be our Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to join our efforts in Fort Johnson, LA. In this position, you will lead the MTC communication architecture. The ISSO will play a crucial role in ensuring the security and integrity of our information systems, networks, and data. The ideal candidate will possess a strong education in cybersecurity, risk management, and compliance with experience that indicates a willingness to learn and adapt.
This position is contingent upon contract award.
What You'll Do
- Contract lead for the coordination and implementation of the MTC's RMF program.
- Responsible for ensuring the appropriate operational security posture is maintained and documented for MTC information systems.
- Responsible for defining & implementing standard operating procedures; implementing DOD, Army, & MTC policies; and creating & implementing plans of action and milestones (POA&M) in response to vulnerabilities identified during risk assessments, audits, & inspections.
- Assures successful implementation and functionality of security requirements and appropriate IT policies and procedures that are consistent with the organization's mission and goals.
- Coordinates with the technical branch to ensure the latest software, patches, and Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) are being installed and reported.
- Physical set-up of facilities (furniture), configuration (event network, simulation and Army Mission Command Systems and database deployment), and end-to-end testing between the simulation and Army Mission Command Systems according to architectural design as directed.
- Travel may be required
